Mackinaw City Area Fishing Report

Fishing is starting to heat up in the mackinaw city area. The fish are biting in the slot at the south side of Bois blanc island and the mainland. If you're looking for kings try early mornings and late evenings in the deep trench right on the south tip of the island towards the mainland. If you're looking for Lakers Lafayette point has been very good, as has Reynolds and spectacle reef. The bite has primarily been on downriggers and high and lo Divers. Concentrate your efforts and the deep side of both of the big reefs and on Lafayette from 85 to 125 depending on time of day.
