“The past weeks in northern Michigan have seen anglers struggling to locate fish in the Pine River. This is a result of the heavy rain the area has seen recently that has resulted in high water levels and chocolate milk colored waters. This week has seen an improvement in river conditions that has led anglers to higher success rates. Focusing on gravel areas with an adjacent eddy has proved to be a reliable tactic. Spinners and spawn have shown to be the most productive methods of take.” the fishing will dramatically improve these next 2 weeks with the stable weather. Look at this great pine river trout taken by Dawson, our river reporter in the region.
