Cheboygan Michigan Area Fishing Report

Fishing continued to be very good in Mackinaw and Cheboygan areas over Memorial Day weekend. Lots of trout action and starting to see a few more steelhead around. The surface temp is still relatively cold, and the fish can still be found high in the water column. Moonshine spoons in Gold Geezer and Craig’s Flounder varieties were steady on high lines, while chrome or gold spin doctors were very effective on downriggers and divers. A new Fish Mafia (local company) spoon took a nice steelhead on our Saturday morning charter.
