Little Bay De Noc
Walleye fishing remains good on the upper bay of Little Bay de Noc. Limit catches can still be had on the south side of Garth Point or the north end of Center Reef as lots of fish that just exited the Whitefish River are held up in the weeds and shoreline drop offs in this area. The fish are constantly on the move right now as they head south to their summer locations so it’s important to cover a lot of water to find fish by either using your electronics or trolling small crankbaits such as the #7 Berkley Flicker Shad. Once you find fish try slowing it down and going through the same area with a Lindy rig tipped with a leech or night crawler or using a jig and live bait or plastic combination. Snap jigging a 3/8th ounce Berkley snap jig paired with a 3” gulp minnow can be a great way to get those reaction bites before the Shiver Minnow and Jigging Rap bites really pick up this summer.
