Escanaba Area Fishing Report

1-18-21 Little Bay de Noc Little bay de noc the head of the bay getting good numbers of perch and decent numbers of smaller walleye with the occasional big fish. The fish are stuffed with wigglers and small gobies. Bouncing bottom with shiver minnows or jigging raps tipped with a minnow head is taking a few fish but was slower than a more natural presentation. Suckers on tipups or wigglers on small jigs were the ticket. Dangerous pressure crack off of the vagabond resort that runs east and west and bad ice conditions about a mile south of the vagabond resort on the east side of the bay the "narrows" is unsafe. Outside the Gladstone yacht harbor have heard of very good catches of walleye but again the ice isnt the best. Fishing is pretty much restricted to certain areas right now but the temps are looking good to make ice.
