Holland Area Fishing Report

We fished Eastmanville Bayou for bluegills over the weekend. It was an awesome place to take kids fishing. We arrived at about 11am and had fish on the vexilar right away. The action was steady in 6-8 fow on 4mm Tungsten jigs with wax worms. Fish were caught near bottom as well as suspended. Ice was anywhere from 4-5” thick but had some spots up the bayou that looked wet/slushy. Our biggest gil measured in at 9.75”. There were quite a few shorts that were mixed in with the keepers, so you were busy sorting, but made it great for the kids. Our daughter Jovy fished with her friends Ellis and Owen. It was the boys first time on the ice!
