Sault Ste Marie Area Fishing Report

6-28-21 Sault Sainte Marie fishing report.
Fishing has been up and down with the weather but seems more steady now.
Whitefish, Atlantic's,Rainbows and Herring are being caught behind the power plant. Drifting flies and small spoons are taking nice fish. Some are using some small jigs tipped with small minnow plastics like Berkley Gulp or Power baits.
The trolling bite is also getting better pulling spoons and crankbaits. Colors change daily so just keep changing till you get bit.
Pike and walleyes are picking up in the bays and breaks off the main river channels. Weed lines and reefs pulling crankbaits and bottom bouncers with harnesses are taking fish.
