Traverse City Area Fishing Report

January 26th, 2022

1-23-22 Traverse City South lake Leelanau has great ice and not much snow. 6-10” of ice And machine safe pretty much everywhere.
Lot of guys all over the lake, the perch and walleye bite has been solid off park road/Bingham launch along with the far south end using blues on tip ups and jig raps tipped with a minnow
Some real nice perch being caught in shallow water on the far south end. If you're looking for a perch and walleye, then concentrate your efforts on South Lake for sure it's been much better than the North lake.

North lake Leelanau has great ice also
Almost like a skating rink, hardly any snow
Few lake trout being caught in deep water
