Surface water Temps on Superior are still mid 40's making running shallow water 15-40 foot deep very productive. Running shallow slender stick baits on shoreland side and mid range slender profile on the lake side of boat is a good way to start. The main feed is smelt so the slender profile is definitely recommended. Southern wind is definitely. The entire month of May into June are usually very productive from the Michigan Wisconsin border all the way to ontonogan. If you haven’t experienced this close to shore fishing, it’s definitely some thing you must try. I have always caught fish with some form of south wind in this area during this time of the year.
