Monroe - Luna Pier Area Fishing Report

October 4th, 2021

10-4-21 Monroe
Left Bolles Solo @ 0700. Setup a few hundred yards north of E buoy. Action was fast and furious with good fish 9”+. Died down about 10 and became sporadic. Managed half a dozen juvenile walleye and tried my best to make the last one stretch to 15” but no dice. Cut out for the dumping grounds with 21 in the box about 12:30 for a spot I had drifted last night (East side mid way down) and picked up a few jumbos. Bite was wicked for a couple of hours, doubles and triples, fish of all sizes. I couldn’t keep 3 rods baited and in the water - it was a real **** show on my boat for a bit. With rain coming in I was sitting at 49 in the box and pulled anchor and drifted a bit before finally heading in. Gnabbed a 12” jumbo to finish up. Got the boat loaded and tied down just as it began to rain. Used nothing but minnows today from Erie Party Shop whatever they were (big heads and chubs) and the perch loved em. Went through almost 3 scoops today - landed well over 100 fish. Thundermist T Turns and a Domka rig with gold beads for tackle.

Thanks Ronald Raymond for the help cleaning these babies.
