Captain Jay from The Fish Fly Charters!
The walleye fishing in Saginaw bay is starting to heat up. Good catches of walleye are being taking in 10-20’ feet of water from the mouth of the Saginaw River and North to Standish. With the water temps in the upper 40s to low 50s the fish are becoming more active.
Angler's are still using larger crank baits like Husky Jerks, Bandits and flicker minnow's. Fish are also taking smaller cranks like flicker shads and some are starting to use crawlers. For the most part the spawn is over but an occasional big female with eggs may still be caught. Good luck and tight lines. 810-280-9655
