Gaylord Area Fishing Report

The early fishing season is now under way in the Gaylord area. The area trout streams are running just a little behind but with the warmer weather in the next 7 day forcast, i'd expect all of them to be firing solidly. The walleye fishing on Lake Otsego is also going to quickly pickup. The fish will be on the first breaks and new growing weeds for the next few weeks. Traditionally they can be caught with Slip bobbers and live minnows. Casting jig and minnow combinations to these areas will also work well. The gills and bass are just starting to hit the shorelines and with some warmer weather that bite will be going good. Get out and explore Gaylord....it's not just for snowmobilers!
