Great Lakes Northern Pike
My friend John Wrixon found some hefty northern pike fishing on Lake Erie in Michigan waters. The boys caught some nice fish with rapala f13 and f18s as well as long a bombers. Best bite seemed to be in 6-13 foot of water and all the fish were caught over top of weed lines . We were running between 2.4-2.8 miles an hour SOG. Leads were 25 and 30 for 18s and 60 back for bombers and f13
Best colors were brown/red orange and gold and silver for hot colors. John absolutely loves walleye fishing, but sometimes you just have to change things up and go for something different. Try great lakes, northern pike, trolling, and you might experience some of the best fishing of your life. Thanks John for a great report.
