Lake leelanau
Sunday we had a Great morning on Lake Leelanau, catching 28 walleye in total for the morning. We ended up with 13 keeper Walleye. I targeted depths from 9 foot to 14 foot of water casting jerk baits and Jigs and plastics.
Sunday afternoon we had a short, four hour charter doing the same program as in the morning casting jerk baits and jigs. We ended with 11 keepers and 12 shorts for the afternoon.
Find weed edges with cabbage weeds and you will find walleye. No certain color jerk bait or jig was better than the other you just had to find the active schools of fish. We did a lot of spot hopping and if we found one fish we'd find a few fish and keep moving. Power fishing with your electronics was key. Amazing to catch 50+ walleye in a day on an inland lake.
