Manistee Area Fishing Report

3-20-24 Manistee area perch fishing
Perch fishing remains great in the Manistee area. Fish have remained in their late winter/early spring patterns as water temps and levels have become more consistent. They are feeding heavily on bugs at the moment so wigglers, spikes, and wax-worms have given us our most success. We have been using perch pounders, jigging raps, and buckshot spoons tipped with live bait. Deeper water is still producing but some fish are starting to push their way shallower to get ready to spawn. I see this bite hanging on most of the way through April.
