12-19-21 Manistee area
The big Manistee and Pere Marquette river have been producing consistent numbers of steelhead as the water has come up over the past few days and now is slowly receding. Steelhead have been coming on Beads and jigs. Beads with yellow, chartreuse, and beads that represent more dead egg patterns have been the best. Jigs in white, orange, and purple have been producing fish as well. The fish are being found in deeper pockets, which we call holding water.
