Splake are known as one of the most aggressive species that swims in Lake Superior. A planted cross species between a Brook Trout and a Lake Trout. This hybrid swims at all depths of the water column aggressively striking and chasing most minnow imitation presentations.
This will also be one of the best eating fillets to come across your table. The Marquette area bite is going on now. The best baits are: Hali Jigs, Swedish pimples, single eggs, or a tip up rigged with a small baitfish will bring these fish topside.
