11-23-20 Muskegon area West Michigan fishing is going strong. Water temps are in the low 40’s as of now. As temps drop the white belly perch and daytime walleye bite should pick up even more.
I have been getting limit catches of perch. Above average in size with many perch 10-12.5”. White River Perch Pounders are the ticket. I will not say what I use for bait but I will say I have not bought a minnow all year to get perch. They are dandy’s.
The walleye bite has been the best I have seen using shallow and deep diving, #10, 12’s Husky Jerks. Also, Bandits and Flicker minnows during the day. Berkley Hit Sticks also are a good bait in the F 11 size. Best water depth during the day would be 30-40ft. After dark 10-18 feet. Speeds 1.2-1.6 mph
